Happy Birthday to Jake!

Today we celebrated Jacob's birthday!

Since I am leaving early tomorrow morning, we decided on a quiet party for today, but we'll do a big celebration with all of our friends when we come back.

A couple friends came over and we had a Mexican fiesta: chicken chili verde style. I made most everything from scratch.

Plus a bunch of other ingredients cooked together in a big pot. Presto! Authentic chicken chili verde.

This makes an excellent burrito, or tacos if you are gluten free.

Then we took a break and played some competitive sports — on the Wii. And it was time for dessert! I made this cheesecake completely from scratch. It is gluten free, but you couldn't tell. It was perfect!
