Happy Birthday to Us!

Today the cat and I celebrated our birthdays.

The festivities actually began last night during a karaoke party with Anna, Veronika, Freddy, Sonia, Julia, Yann, and, of course, Jacob.

To make it even better, Veronika brought this yummy, yummy, yummy hand-made gift!

Today was a more quiet day. We started with a present for the Kitten Bear. We're not sure if he likes it yet...

Three years old today!

Then I attended a first-time gardeners' "shin dig" hosted by the community garden group. The place where I will have my plot has been tilled, so it's almost time to start!

Afterwards I met Jake for a special birthday lunch at our favorite Indian place.

When we came home I opened my presents! A lot of wonderful gifts, but the cards are my favorite always!

Actually, this gift might have beat the cards this year...

From Jake, a beautiful, made in America, carry on bag for my upcoming trips! I can't wait to use it.

We also had a bit of cake — I made some gluten free cupcakes from a Bob's Redmill mix. They came out ok, but I dunno if I would make them again.
