Seeing Green

In celebration of St. Patrick's Day I bring you: GREEN! (and some blue and red and...)

The U of M students really go all out for St. Paddy's Day! Driving around downtown we saw a lot of green and a lot of underaged drinking.

The aftermath:

We declined the invitation to the frat house and instead went to Julia's potluck party. Everything was themed green and we all brought a green dish.

Pasta with parsley-pesto that we brought.

Mmm! Green!
Spring is also celebrating green. The morning after the big and scary storm, the grass came up green. Seriously, it happened over night and has been growing like crazy since.

This morning we woke to see that the two trees closest to our house had opened their buds.

Many other trees have put out pretty blooms as well.

And every day there are new flowers.

Look how quickly the bulbs in our garden are growing!

A few miscellaneous fun things I saw on my walk today:

Cat tail puffs.
Look who's back! My favorite.

Action shot: there are four of them.

And from St. Patrick's Day. (Please excuse my allergy-eyes...)

Also, more new birds on the Birds page.

May the green be with you.

  1. I love how you notice the little things... and then share them with us. Lovely!
