While we did not get to have a white Christmas, we have been having some light snow and often wake up to a white dusting. So, in honor of the winter holidays, here are some pictures of the pretty, white stuff.
A few weeks ago we had a bit more of a substantial snow and I took these pictures around downtown Ann Arbor.

And with the snow comes a lot of these: snow plows! (I'd never seen them before, but now they are everywhere.)
The snow also provides evidence – there are apparently local deer!
And, just in time, I got some snow/rain boots. They are extra warm and don't slip on the ice, I really like them!
We haven't had much snow lately, but it has been very cold with a lot of ice. We went for a walk yesterday and saw this:

The nicest part of our walk, though, was down the bike path, which was also covered in snow.
Just before the bridge, we discovered another path which had been previously hidden by the summer growth. Now it was open and obvious and paved with a boardwalk, so we went!
And saw some neat mushrooms,
some pretty, fallen, snow-covered trees,
and some leaves frozen under ice.
In other news, Jake has successfully completed his first semester and we are now enjoying some down time. I've been a bit under the weather, but I've had the best nurse who will even tolerate watching my favorite movie with me!
Otherwise we are doing well and enjoying winter! A new post soon with our Hanukkah happenings.
Happy Holidays, everyone!
Tamar and Jacob.
Very sweet, and cute shoes!
